My broader point asks why shouldn&#39;t it be a given that the Congregation would pay a small fee that is nothing more than a nuisance to its clergy? And why hasn&#39;t the Congregation considered it an annual obligation to care for its interior and exterior--even down to the signage in front? We are caretakers and neighbors and the only owner on the block who uses God in our name.
