Much ink has bee..."Why do dads do this?"

Much ink has been spilled exploring this question. Writers, psychologists, poets--why do people fear death, or, even court it? Why do some choose self-destruction over an attempt to vanquish demons?

The motivations are really complicated. I haven't completely figured out my dad because he isn't around to testify but I have definitely tried to make different choices. He died at 58; I'm 47. I hoping to lap him. We'll see!Andy Bachmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12793260246107995501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-480763369736326403.post-21624157657274075602010-04-15T22:59:36.770-04:002010-04-15T22:59:36.770-04:00Andy:

My dad has had two heart attacks and he still doesn't take care of himself.

A mystery, I guess.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-480763369736326403.post-18084757683552815912010-04-15T12:59:19.447-04:002010-04-15T12:59:19.447-04:00I admit I'm not sure what anonymous said above...I admit I'm not sure what anonymous said above....but I really liked this entry. I don't know if I've ever read and thought about Psalm 121, but it is beautiful and your grandma is right, very calming.
